OMEGA Centre Operational

The OMEGA Centre for the Study of Mega Projects in Transport and Development at University College London (UCL) became operational on 2nd October 2006. This followed a successful submission made in 2005 to the Volvo Research & Education Foundations (VREF) by the Bartlett at UCL to set up a VREF global centre of excellence (CoE) in the future of Urban Transport. This project (OMEGA Project #2) is directed by Prof. Harry T. Dimitriou who leads a team of Research Fellows, Associates and Assistants based in London supported by an international network of experts from 9 partner Universities spread across four continents.
