Geoff Hobbs* & David Warner**, Director of Public Service Transport Planning & Senior Business Analyst (respectively), Transport for London (TfL), London

*Geoff Hobbs is the Director of public transport service planning for Transport for London covering London Underground, London buses, London Overground, Docklands Light Railway and trams. He is responsible for planning, development and justification of ideas to improve TfL’s services. He also leads TfL’s input into the development of the National Rail network in London more widely, identifying and justifying TfL’s priorities. An economist by background, he has twenty-five years’ experience in public transport having previously worked in various strategic, sponsorship, business planning, marketing, policy and general management roles across Transport for London. He lives near London and uses the Underground every day.

**David Warner works in TfL’s Public Transport Planning Team. He has over 18 years experience of working within the UK Transport Industry in both the public and private sectors and is an experienced passenger demand and revenue forecaster with detailed knowledge of economic and financial appraisal and rail strategy development. His role is to support the TfL Public Transport Planning team with quantified analysis that provides an evidence base behind the difficult decisions that the organisation needs to take. He was responsible for developing the business cases and demand projections for the development of the London Overground including the East London Line Extension and is now undertaking similar tasks for Crossrail. He has supported these and a large number of other projects as they move from the development of the initial outline business case through to implementation.
